About Your Consultant

I started working in a libraries in while in high school in 1989.  While attending The Ohio State University as an undergraduate, I began working as a cataloging inputter at the OSU main library. After earning a B.S. in Elementary Education from The Ohio State University, I moved to Houston and taught 5th grade in Alief ISD.  Two years late, I became the school librarian at Youngblood Intermediate School.  I did this for 3 years and then transferred Katy ISD for 6 years as the librarian at Polly McRoberts Elementary School.  During this time, I was an adjunct reference librarian at Cy-Fair College which is a joint use library between the college an the Harris County Public Library.  In 2007, I moved to San Antonio to become the Director for Library Services for North East ISD.  I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of North Texas.  My research interests include information organization, school library administration, electronic content management, and curriculum and instruction for school library programs.
